St. Peter Catholic School Art Room

 Check out our fourth graders participating in the Fair Housing Contest! We worked hard the month of February utilizing our artistic skills to advocate for fair housing. 

Young artists drew along with Mrs. Thurman to create a fun, dancing Avocado! 

 As we enter the season of Lent, artists are creating an inspiring artwork using watercolor or Tempera paint to focus their hearts on Jesus.

 Students in grades sixth, seventh and eighth completed their ancient Roman structures. Artists worked together in groups to design an ancient building based on art, artifact and architecture that they investigate from ancient Athens and Imperial Rome. Students compared and contrasted themes in ancient Roman art with contemporary Western architecture. We enjoyed discussing the art and applying our knowledge to our projects to create an original building!  Check out our photos of progress and completed projects!
